[QUOTE ]Chinese build high rise in 9 days -- 8 days behind schedule

Our own carpenters, plumbers, and electricians would do well to take a page out of China's book. Workers who constructed a multi-level building in nine days in the central China province of Hunan say the project should have taken just 24 hours. The construction of the building, made mainly from factory-built, prefabricated elements, was plagued by drama, putting the build eight days over schedule. According to the video commentary, a public holiday, problems with deliveries and inclement weather delayed the job. For their next trick, the company plans to build the world's tallest building in just four months.

And yet the Freedom Tower is still under construction, is it even half way done?

I saw an article about this company at Wired.com. They built a 30 story building in just 15 days (not counting all the time it took to assemble the pieces in the factory). The main thing that they were excited about was that nobody was injured. In big building projects, somebody always dies (usually from falling). They constructed the building in 15 days and nobody even broke a fingernail according to the promo video.
